CEO, Deloitte Digital AU

We started using Yammer with a small group of people inside Deloitte Australia. The more we used it the more useful it became. We then decided to use it more broadly and did a small internal campaign to get users. We now use it for things as varied as project communications, developing ideas and innovation, knowledge sharing, marketing and many other things. Yammer has helped build on the sense of community in Deloitte.

My emails were reduced 50% by using Yammer for internal communication. Yammer eliminates multiple sends and blanket cc's.

As a startup CEO, I can not tell you how important Yammer is in the life of our company.

We are a startup with people all over the world, and Yammer made us come together in the same room around the clock!

It would have taken me months to get up to speed the traditional way, but with the power of Yammer it took weeks.

What's the ROI of Yammer to Avaya? To borrow a phrase, Social Networks like this are indeed Priceless.

Our Yammer network had been slowly building for a few months, but tying it into an internal communications campaign is what drove some real adoption - allowing over 500 employees to contribute over 3000 tagline ideas in 24 hours.

Pairing Yammer with our Innovation Team has been really valuable because now our staff can collaborate across service lines in real-time on the variety of projects, and we are really excited to see where this leads in the future.

Any company which isn't running Yammer right now is missing out on the best communication and productivity tool available in the market today.

It's a massive game changer. We got everyone [at Mahalo] to agree to do 1-3 updates a day and it's taking the level of communication to a new height that we didn't think was possible.

It's opt-in time sheets without the guilt/pain, not for big brother reasons, but for true sharing and understanding between team members.

Chief Technology Officer, Virtual Hold

We were hovering around 25 users for a couple of months. Then all of a sudden we had an explosion of new folks joining in just the last few weeks from Tech Support, Software Development, Tech Pubs and QA. Now we are up to 44 users.

My personal favorite, as of late, has been getting documentation Yams from our Tech Pubs group. I’m able to see when we update a release note or when a new tech overview has been posted. It’s fantastic. It’s also been great following people on the road. Most of us travel for a living. Yamming and checking yammer has really helped us stay close and up to date. The Blackberry app is good…but the iPhone app is just simply gorgeous.

Our Integration Team Leader, Rob Brazier, has arguably the most demanding job here at Virtual Hold. Without good communication, his world begins to fall apart. He recently told me that the two greatest productivity increasing items that our company has done are: Yammer and Basecamp. Three cheers for the wonderful new world of Web 2.0.

We’ve been using Yammer for a week now and everyone feels it’s been a good addition to our communications patterns. This is especially true with a distributed workforce like we have now.

We’ve made real decisions over Yammer that would have previously needed a phone call or email chain. Generally people are pleased with the connectivity it provides. For us, Yammer is a keeper.

Active communication is one of our culture values. Yammer gives us the ability to communicate in real-time with our entire team in NY, LA, San Francisco and soon to be International. We’re able to share more “raw” information, which has already increased our internal efficiency quite significantly. It also makes information sharing fun.

Highlights:

- I needed a graph at midnight, I posted a message on Yammer, one of our engineers came up with the graph in minutes. I normally would have had to source/pull the graph myself which would have taken an hour.

-It’s been good for brainstorming, I can post a question and get immediate thoughts, ideas and feedback.

I'm a CEO at a small company (25 people) in Vienna, Austria. Today I started a Yammer account with 4 invitations. 8 hours later all people at the office have a Yammer account, and most of them have Jabber integration. And it took me just 5 minutes of my time. That's what I expect from an IT rollout 2.0 - so you guys rock! And the Jabber integration rocks!

Yammer keeps our team connected better than any media out there.

Yammer has increased my ability to manage email by decreasing inner-office email chatter by at least 60 percent.

One of the greatest benefits Yammer has provided our team is the ability to stay connected and understand everyone’s roles. One of our employees finally ‘got it’ the other day by reading my Yammer on a new business proposal. It keeps everyone in the loop and allows them to ask and share questions that benefit the team as a whole.

Yammer has met most if not all of the business issues we had hoped to address and furthermore was organically adopted virtually overnight by the entire organization! I heartily recommend Yammer's service and look forward to the client improving...

Yammer is a unique service that offers tremendous value to organizations that “get” the concept and want to use social networking internally to augment or as the successor to their intranet.

Loving team twittering app - Yammer. Finally, a more targeted use of the micro-blogging phenomenon.

I'm impressed by the quick and clean layout of Yammer and also the ease of getting it up and running. Good job. You've made it so easy to create an in-company life stream for us.

The speed with which we as an office have adopted the service has been startling, speaking to both the company’s unique value and ultimately the pure ease of implementation.

Yammer makes communication more horizontal and peer-to-peer while still allowing knowledge and information to flow where it needs to go. It does this while organically creating a repository of knowledge that can be tagged or searched at a later date.
